ABOUT AIFA

In 2018, AIFA was established with the aim of exhibiting and promoting the work of contemporary Japanese artists in Switzerland. The fulfilment of a desire to share emotions experienced during our many Japanese artistic discoveries.

Supported by our Tokyo representation, we have been able to develop privileged relationships with established and emerging artists, allowing us to promote their art beyond Japanese borders. We are committed to developing trusted long-term relationship with the artists we represent, supporting art creation over their respective life cycles.  By collaborating with us, artists benefit from an extended international influence and contribute to the construction of artistic bridges between Japan and the West.

Japan's dynamic contemporary art scene, constantly fuelled by talented and creative artists, is relatively under-represented outside Japan, making it difficult for foreign art collectors to access. Our expertise in the Japanese contemporary art market and our privileged relationships allow us to offer a selection of quality original works.

AIFA's artistic program revolves around individual and collective thematic exhibitions both at our Verbier gallery and in other places likely to host the exhibition of artworks. Partnerships with institutions such as for instance museums and art festivals are also used to offer Japanese contemporary art the exposure it deserves and artists a additional mean to sustain and develop their work.

AIFA is a place of discovery, encounters and dialogue between artists representing the Japanese contemporary scene and art lovers.
