Bringing together works from established artists such as Aya Kawato, Shinya Tanoue, and Kenji Gomi, as well as emerging talents like Kohei Ukai, Koga Miura, Sayuri Ikake, and Namika Nakai, this first exhibition highlights the richness of the contemporary Japanese artistic scene.

This work by the renowned ceramist Shinya Tanoue illustrates how the artist translates his fascination with shell curves and the protective sensation they evoke. He uses three types of clay to shape his forms, meticulously draws lines to add dynamism, and fires the clay twice. He also employs a unique blue glaze to enhance the beauty and sensuality of his works.

Through a varied selection of paintings, ceramics, and lacquer works, it provides an immersive and coherent experience while celebrating artistic diversity and creativity. Each work, carefully chosen, demonstrates our commitment to offering visitors an insight into the rich modern Japanese culture through art.

Accidental randomness is a defining element in Koga Miura’s art, where the unpredictability of numbers plays a significant role. Miura finds beauty in this randomness, letting it guide part of his creative process. This approach brings a unique vitality and authenticity to his work, capturing the viewer’s attention in an unexpected way.
